If this is your first visit with us, you might have some questions about what happens on Sunday morning at the Grant City Baptist Church.
Q: What time should we be there?
A: Worship service: 9:30 a.m.
Sunday school groups: 10:30 a.m.
Q: What should we wear?
A: Whatever you are comfortable with. Our "style" is mostly casual.
Q: What do you offer for children?
A: We have a nursery during church for little ones up to Kindergarten age (Leader: Elaine Mullock.) We also offer Children's Church for elementary age children during the church hour (Leader: Nanci Drury.) There are "Busy Bags" available for older children to enjoy during the service, filled with Bible-themed activities and a goodie or two!
We also offer Sunday school groups at 10:30 for all ages, infants through Sr. Adults.
Q: What does a typical worship service include?
A: At some point in every service, there will be prayer, congregational singing, the reading of Scripture from the Bible and a message from Pastor Darin. Often, we will meet in the dining hall after the message to discuss questions related to the message.
Q: Do you observe the Lord's Supper (communion)?
A: We celebrate Communion the first Sunday of every month. We believe Communion is for all people who have accepted Jesus as their savior.
Q: How long will the service last?
A: Our worship service typically lasts about an hour.
We are looking forward to meeting and worshiping with you!
Please feel free to call the church at 660-564-3490 for any other questions you may have.
